Residents of Alaare and Abidogun erupted in appreciation as Ambassador Issah Adedotun Niniola, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Protocol flagged off the grading of their deteriorated community road, effectively ending years of frustration.
The critical link road connecting Alaare, Abidogun, Ota-Efun and Kobo in Osogbo had long hindered economic and social activities. Traders struggled to move goods, students navigated unsafe terrain, and vehicle owners bore constant repair costs. The commencement of rehabilitation signaled what many described as leadership stepping in where it mattered most.
The intervention traces back to a December 2025 inspection after traditional and community leaders sought assistance. At the time, Ambassador Niniola pledged to address the situation, a pledge now translated into visible development.
The Baale of Alaare Iyiolu, Omooba Muhibi Folorunsho, praised the timely response.
“This marks a new chapter for our people. We were told help would come, and today we are seeing it happen,” he said.
He also clarified that the project was not initiated by the state government but fulfilled directly by Ambassador Niniola, correcting rumours circulating within the community.
Mr. Olusola Oluwaseyi, a resident of Abidogun, described the grading as a morale booster for the people, stressing that communities remember those who stand by them in difficult times.
As political activities gradually intensify across Osun State, the development is being viewed by many as evidence that grassroots engagement and tangible projects remain powerful tools in shaping public trust and electoral confidence.
