Osogbo, Osun State —14/02/2026 Honourable Ismail Adeniyi joined top-ranking leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at a landmark presidential endorsement and reception programme held at Freedom Park, Osogbo, where party leaders unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for a second term in office.
The high-profile gathering, organised by the Osun State Chapter of the APC, drew senior government officials, national assembly leadership, party executives, and grassroots mobilisers, signaling renewed momentum and consolidation within the ruling party ahead of future electoral engagements.
The event featured a formal reception for members of the National Assembly who recently defected to the APC, further reinforcing the party’s expanding national influence and strengthening its progressive coalition.
In his welcome address, Osun State APC Chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen Lawal, praised party faithful for their steadfast loyalty and commitment to progressive governance. Opening remarks were delivered by the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, who emphasized unity, strategic coordination, and continuity in governance.
A defining moment of the programme was the motion formally endorsing President Tinubu for a second term, moved by APC National Secretary, Dr. Ajibola Basiru, and overwhelmingly affirmed by party leaders and stakeholders in attendance.
The event also featured goodwill messages from key national figures, including Vice President Kashim Shettima; President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio; and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas. Also present was Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), APC candidate in the forthcoming Osun State governorship election.
Addressing journalists after the programme, Hon. Adeniyi described the gathering as a decisive demonstration of unity, confidence, and strategic direction within the APC.
“The endorsement of President Tinubu reflects the growing national consensus around purposeful leadership, economic reform, and a clear vision for Nigeria’s long-term development,” he stated.
He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to strengthening the party at the grassroots level, stressing the importance of inclusive participation, youth engagement, and sustained stakeholder collaboration across Ila, Boluwaduro, and Ifedayo Federal Constituency.
