In what has now become the dominant conversation across political circles within Ila, Boluwaduro, and Ifedayo Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin (AIO), the philanthropist, grassroots mobilizer, and political figure of repute, had again made a historic declaration at the All Progressives Congress (APC) General Meeting, formally announcing his ambition to vie for the seat of the House of Representatives, Abuja, come 2027.
The atmosphere was electrifying and charged with chants of solidarity as Chief Oluwatosin entered the meeting hall. His presence alone drew applause from party faithfuls who have long yearned for his official pronouncement. His declaration, welcomed with resounding ovations, was described by many as the crystallization of the people’s long-held desire to see a genuine, people-centered leader represent them at the national stage.
In his address to the mammoth crowd of Progressives, Chief Oluwatosin applauded the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his swift response to the cries of Nigerians through the launching of Renewed Hope Ward Development Programme (RHWDP) which is targeted at empowering 1000 people per Ward across the Federation. He, however, cautioned leaders at all levels to ensure that the scheme reaches the poorest of the poor, the elderly, the physically challenged and loyal party members, rather than being hijacked for slot-sharing. According to him, “this initiative is the people’s right, and it must serve its true purpose.”
He urged Progressives to embrace peaceful coexistence before, during, and after the 2026 Gubernatorial Primary Election, stressing the importance of unity and speaking with one voice. With conviction, he declared:
“The new era has come and has come to stay. The era of working for working’s sake has ended. This is the era where the voice of every party member is heard, the era of positive impact on this constituency, the era of the youth, the era of women, and the era of our aged ones. Under my administration, when elected, inclusivity shall be the bedrock, no stone shall be left unturned.”
Chief Oluwatosin promised a speedy transformation for the constituency come 2027, assuring that his vision would translate into tangible benefits for all.
The meeting also featured heartfelt tributes from party members. Mrs. Idayat, a seasoned member of the Progressives, shared the testimony of many party faithfuls whom AIO had assisted with a startup business grant worth thousands of naira. She prayed fervently for the Chief, beseeching God Almighty to grant all his aspirations. She also delivered a pointed reminder to party leaders, stressing the need for unity and timely decision-making that reflects the true desires of the grassroots.
The Youth Leader of Ajaba Land, Hon. Ahmed Azeez, offered special greetings to AIO, commending him for his tireless support for the youth and acknowledging his forthcoming installation as Youth Leader of Ajaba Land, slated for Friday, 26th September, 2025. He equally appreciated AIO’s financial support to the party faithfuls during his recent ward visit.
In his concluding remarks, Chief Oluwatosin reassured Progressives across the constituency that no harm would befall them, reiterating that every member has the freedom to support leaders they trust without fear of intimidation or crucifixion. He boldly declared that the APC is fully prepared to peacefully wrestle control from the opposition PDP and its flag bearer by 2026 and 2027, sealing his speech with the assurance, “We are taking charge by 2026 and 2027, and so shall it be.”
The declaration of Hon. Chief Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin has thus set the political tone for what promises to be a historic contest, igniting renewed hope, passion, and unity among the Progressives in Ila, Boluwaduro, and Ifedayo Federal Constituency.
