The Ila-Orangun community and indeed the entire Igbomina land have been thrown into mourning following the demise of Olori Abosede Oyedotun, the first wife of His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul-Wahab Kayode Oyedotun, Bibire I, the Orangun of Ila-Orangun.
In his condolence message, Hon. Chief Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin (AIO), Bobaselu of Ajaba Land and a political figure in Boluwaduro, Ifedayo, and Ila Federal Constituency, described the late Olori as a calm, peace-loving, and people-centered woman whose life was dedicated to the well-being of others.
According to him, the late Olori was more than a royal mother; she was a pillar of harmony and selflessness who consistently placed the interests of her people above her personal comfort. He noted that her gentle disposition, humility, and all-time passion for peace earned her admiration not only within the palace but across the entire Ila-Orangun community and Igbomina land at large.
Chief Oluwatosin lamented her passing as a colossal loss, one that has created a vacuum impossible to fill. “Her demise is not just a blow to the royal household, but a tragedy for Ila-Orangun and the entire Igbomina nation. We have lost a matriarch whose values of patience, kindness, and service will forever be remembered,” he stated.
He further extended his condolences to His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul-Wahab Kayode Oyedotun, Bibire I, the entire royal family, the council of chiefs, friends, and close associates of the deceased, urging them to take solace in the fact that Olori Eesanya lived a life of impact and dignity.
In his prayer, Chief Oluwatosin asked Almighty God to grant eternal rest to the soul of the departed and to bless the royal family with the fortitude and strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.
The passing of Olori Eesanya Orangun has left the community in deep grief, but her memory as a symbol of peace, love, and compassion will remain evergreen in the hearts of the people.
