The political camp of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) has received a major boost as Hon. Engr. Adewole Morenikeji Ayobami, former Special Assistant on Project Monitoring (SUBEB) to ex-Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, dumps the former Deputy Governor, Mr. Benedict Alabi’s camp.

Morenikeji, a former Chairmanship aspirant in Irewole local government and a loyalist of the former deputy governor, declared his full alignment with the AMBO movement ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship race. He cited the visionary leadership and inclusive politics of Asiwaju Oyebamiji as the driving force behind his decision.

“This is not just about politics; it’s about the future of Osun State. Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji stands out as the leader who can move the state forward. I am fully committed to mobilising massive support across all zones for the success of this movement,” he said.

He described AMBO as a bridge between the old and the new generation, someone who understands the intricacies of governance and the pulse of the people. According to him, Osun needs a leader who blends experience with compassion and clarity of purpose.

“Our people are tired of promises without results. What we need now is a leader with a proven track record, someone who listens, connects, and delivers. That is what AMBO represents,” he added.

Engr. Keji, a well-known grassroots politician, called on party faithful, youth groups, and community leaders to embrace the AMBO agenda and work collectively towards a progressive Osun.

His movement is seen to be a major reshaping in the conversation and dynamics within the party, signaling more realignments ahead of the party’s primaries. The move is also seen as a clear indication of the growing acceptance and momentum of the AMBO movement across the state.
