…Calls For Responsible Parenting

The Executive Director, Project Implementation, Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye has called for good and responsible parenting in the collective quest to build and guarantee a better future for the country.

Omowaiye noted that the quest for nation building is a collective responsibility that begins from quality child upbringing to responsible parenting.

This is even as he charged the children to inculcate virtues and face their education as it remains the only legacy their parents can bequeath to them.

Addressing the children who had already assembled at the Oba Bilagbayo Community Hall, Ikoti, Ilesa for the 2024 Xmas Carol, Omowaiye said the time has come for the Nigerian parents to invest more in their children who are the future leaders.

He expressed delight in the enthusiasms of the children who welcomed him into the venue of the Carol with fanfare, stating that the annual celebration has become a source of inspiration and motivation for the young ones.

“I am happy that this programme has become a source of inspiration and motivation for our children. We have been doing this in the last couple of years and I am glad that our children have been gladly welcoming it.

“No doubt, children of today are the future of our nation. They are our hope and leaders of tomorrow, thus no effort must be spared to guarantee their better future. It is time to invest in them more through the provision of quality education and inculcation of Omoluabi ethos.

“To our children, I charge you all to face your studies and refrain from things capable of jeopardizing your future. Your destiny is in your hands, hence the need to make it. Be good ambassadors of Nigeria and Africa and this can only happen when you face your studies and imbibe the spirit of dedication, commitment and hardwork”, Omowaiye added.

Highlight of the event was the distribution of gifts to hundreds of children in attendance.
