— Alerts them to luring pranks of bad gangs

Wife of the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, Mrs. Kafayat Olaitan Oyetola yesterday, played host and moral tutor to a large gathering of children, persuading them on the importance of education, and alerting them to the luring pranks of some antisocial adolescents in their various schools and environments.

The former First Lady of Osun State gave the persuasion and moral suasion to the innocent young ones at the Minister’s country home, Iragbiji, during her annual yuletide season of love for children in the ancient town.

In her tender, motherly address via a solicitous and sonorous voice, Mrs. Oyetola sang a motivational song in Yoruba language which conveyed the importance of education to the children. According to her, it’s only the desirous and serious ones who are devoted to their educational studies that are always successful in life.

Motivating the children in her song, she said: “Ti o ba kawe re, bata re a ro ko-ko-ka” meaning if you are serious, and you study hard in your devotion to education, you would become successful in life.

The obvious joy on the faces of the invited children showed the hospitality, accommodation and kindness of their host family would remain indelible in their memories, as different lovely gift items were given to the participating children.

It would be recalled that Mrs. Oyetola had instituted this laudable gesture before her husband’s election as governor of Osun State in 2018, and has since been consistently hosting the yuletide season’s party for children in the community.

Joining the host in identifying and celebrating with the children at Iragbiji was her husband, Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, whose arrival from Abuja for the purpose of the occasion further demonstrated their love for the children.

The party was also blessed with the royal presence of His Majesty Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdur-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi Odundun IV, and other prominent attendees, including the state’s Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaja Kudirat Fakokunde, and friends of the Minister’s wife.
