Facts have emerged about the desperation of the Osun State Government and the State Chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to blackmail the Osun State Police Command in efforts to shield criminal elements in the state especially the recently arrested Park Management Chairman, Wakili Alowonle, found with firearm in his possession.
It would be recalled that some PDP youth wing yesterday organized a press conference in Osogbo masquerading as Osun Concerned Civil Society Organisation to demand sanction of Osun Anti-Kidnapping Unit Commander, Moses Lohor.
Fact checks show that the characters in attendance are the faces of Osun PDP members and Governor Adeleke’s appointees who masquraded as Concerned Civil Society packaged to trivialize the gun-running allegation against Nurudeen Alawonle
After profiling, it was discovered that one of them, Olakunle Afeez, is PDP member from Orolu Local Government and member, Board of Directors, Osun State Council for Arts and Culture.
Another one, Tunji Olorunfemi (aka Awoko), a PDP member from Iloko Ijesa and one of the aides of Pelumi Olajengbesi, has on many occasions branded PDP identities.
Olanrewaju Stephen, another PDP member, who has equally attended major PDP rallies in the state to endorse Governor Adeleke, was also in attendance at the arranged press conference, just as Ugwu Ezewinne Tonny, a Youth Wing member of the PDP.
Further checks also confirm that the organisation has not been in existence in the until yesterday when it was haphazardly put together to discredit the police.
Some photos below project the individuals in different PDP regalia at different, an indication that the media community was misled.
The fake identity is no doubt a confirmation that state actors, uncomfortable with the professional attitude of the police operatives in the state, are bent on undermining their work ethics to protect hoodlums and criminals working for them.
