Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Olabomi has has lauded one of the illustrious sons, Barrister Yomi Ogunwale for the launch of the proposed private radio station in the ancient town.

This is even as Ogunwale described the initiative as a dream come true, noting that when completed the facility would further foster sense of brotherhood, community engagement among the sons and daughters of the community and as well help to promote Yoruba culture, custom and tradition.

Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony on Monday, Oba Olabomi described the initiative as ‘a round peg in a round hole’, noting that the facility would further help to bridge the information and communication gap and as well help in bringing his subjects more closer.

The revered monarch acknowledged the love and support of the sons and daughters of Iragbiji towards the growth and development of the ancient town just as he eulogized Ogunwale for his visionary and selfless services to the community over the years.

Corroborating the gesture, Eesa of Iragbiji, High Chief Muraina Oyelami acknowledged Ogunwale’s tremendous impacts described him as a good ambassador of the town.

In his short remarks, Barrister Ogunwale expressed gratitude to Almighty God, Aragbiji of Iragbiji, sons and daughters of the community for being part of the success story saying, “this is a dream come true”.

He said the facility when completed would champion its cardinal points of providing quality information, education, enlightenment, entertainment and as serve as a veritable tool to promoting cultural heritage.

“I can assure you all that the radio station when completed would promote local culture and heritage; foster community engagement and participation; provide a platform for residents to share their voices and opinions and enhance access to information, education, and job opportunities”, he assured.
