The political adherents of Late Pa Gbadamosi Lawal (G.O Lawal )in Ikirun, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun state, have dismissed the information that one of the biological sons of the late Leader, Pa Lawal, yesterday decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ikirun.

The APC leader described the information as misleading and false claim to create confusion and drag the name of the late Icon and progressive politician to the mud to burnish the image of the hopeless and troubled PDP in the local government.

According to the politician, PDP deliberately stereotyped the narrative to gain public sympathy by portraying the person in question, Muideen Lawal as the biological son of Pa G.O Lawal, when he actually is not.

He explained that Muideen Lawal is not new in PDP because he has since last year been a Special Assistant to the former Chairman, Ifelodun Local Government, Sarafadeen Awotunde. Muideen has, for close to a decade, not been on the same page with the late Pa Lawal political dynasty even when Baba was alive. He departed the political dynasty of G.O Lawal through different political adventures: from PDP to The Osun Progressives,(TOP) which later transformed to Omoluabi Caucus, a dissident group pretending to be within APC, and recently back to PDP.”

” For emphasis, Muideen has not been a committed member of APC for years and not in anyway a subtraction to APC. For record purpose, no biological son of Late Pa. G.O Lawal is in PDP. All the children of Late Pa. G.O Lawal, both sons and daughters, are members of APC. Such social media trend projecting the black sheep of the family as what he is not is outright falsehood and misinformation to score cheap political point. The narrative is a deliberate social media sensation just to create political confusion.”

It would be recalled that one Muideen Owoseni was said to have recently decamped to PDP in Ikirun, and there was a social media claim describing him as a biological son of Late Pa Gbadamosi Lawal.

Late Lawal, who died in 2021, was a prominent APC Leader and a lawmaker in the old Oyo State during the era of late Chief Bola Ige.
