An elder Stateman, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun and Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, in Osun State on Sunday, 26th May 2024 led a team of members and chieftains of the APC to pay a condolence visit on the family of Prince Dotun Babayemi (Atunto Osun) at his family house in Gbongan, Ayedaade Local Government Area.
According to a statement signed by one of the stakeholders in the APC in Odo Otin Local Government Area, Prince Adeniran Kilomodemo Ibitoye, also known as (KLM), Alhaji Oyedokun, who recently joined the APC during the visit prayed for God to give the Babayemi’s family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable and irreparable loss.
“Death is indeed inevitable, it is a debt owned by all, and one of the sad realities about life is that we shall not be here forever, so, the demise of Mama, HRM Olori Florence Ajoke Waleade Babayemi is undoubtedly a great loss and one can only pray that God repose her soul as she has done her best while she was here”
The Octogenarian, who was a Deputy National Chairman of the PDP and later a Permanent Member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the party before his defection into the All Progressives Congress (APC) urged Prince Babayemi to take solace in the exemplary life of Mama before her demise.
“It is obvious that Mama led a good life that is worthy of emulation, Prince Babayemi, I want to urge you to take solace in the exemplary life of Mama, I want you to take a cue from her dedication to humanity and also build on her legacy”
In his remarks, the Osun APC Chairman, Sooko Lawal commiserated with the family and prayed that Prince Dotun Babayemi and the entire family find solace in the good deeds of Late Olori Waleade Babayemi.
“I have heard a lot of impressive things about Mama and this goes to show that she was a good mother when she was here, as a party, we commiserate with our own, Prince Babayemi and pray that God comfort him and the entire family”
The two leaders visited the immediate Past Osun State Secretary of the PDP Elders caucus who has defected into APC, Elder Segun Odekunle and later went in the company of other party people to the dynasty of the Babayemi and the APC Party secretariat at Gbongan to sign the condolence registers.
It would be recalled that Alhaji Oyedokun, who was also the State Chairman of the PDP Elders Caucus recently defected to the APC, noting that he has found a home in the party after dumping the PDP.
